The Visibility Planner is all about raising your profile and visibility through the things you do focusing on 4 main areas: PR and Marketing (inc Social Media), Networking, Presenting and Writing. For the 2020 A to Z Challenge we decided to focus on one of these aspects – writing! As the world continues to go into lock-down due to Covid-19, it is the perfect time to work on raising your visibility through your writing as you can do it from the comfort of your home.

Q is for… Be Quoted

Getting quoted in news articles and publications is a great way to establish yourself as a thought-leader and expert. Start by being quotable and writing high quality and interesting content online and on social media. This can lead to being quoted in other articles or asking to contribute or comment for an article on a particular topic of interest.

Reach out to specific reporters/journalists that you want to target. Send them a message on social media or drop them an email. When you reach out show them how you can add value, understand their writing/publication and connect the dots for them. Specifically – what can you help them with and make it easy for them to quote you or ask for your input or an article.
