Quick Tip: Change from “Meeting Mode” to “Presentation Mode” to make more of an Impact

When it is your turn to speak in a virtual meeting, don’t just stay in “meeting mode”. Actively think about changing into “Presentation Mode” and speak as if you are giving a presentation to make you appear more interesting and memorable.

This includes:

• sitting up and changing your posture (maybe even standing if that is helpful to you),
• using your body language such as eye contact (with the camera) and hand gestures and
• using your voice.

By doing these tiny things, you will improve the experience for the listener, who will take notice (and you prevent coming across as being bored and uninterested).
