Visibility Planner - Content

Video is an important form of content. Whether you are using long-form or short-form video, whether you are using video on social media or video platforms, video is becoming an important part of any visibility strategy.

Video is an important element of your brand and can be a good piece of content that you can create. After all, videos are a great way to tell a story. There are many types of videos that you can create.

One example is Instructional Videos.

What is an Instructional Video?

An instructional video is one that demonstrates a process, transfers knowledge, explains a concept, or shows someone how to do something. There are a number of different styles that you have probably seen including:

  • Micro-videos – short niche videos that focus on a single narrow topic.
  • Tutorial Videos – Step by Step Instructions / How-to videos.
  • Screencasts – digital video recordings of a computer screen with narration (usually a tutorial video).
  • Training Videos – these are usually used to develop skills and train people.
  • Explainer Videos – Demo of a product or concept. Often used to simplify complex ideas into digestible content.
  • Presentation Videos – a recording of a presentation for rewatching later.

Why should you create an instructional video?

Creating Instructional Videos can create a valuable resource of information that people come to your website or channel to view. This can encourage them to keep coming back.

If you don’t want to regularly create videos, instructional videos can really help people understand a product before the buy or use a product that they have just bought.

Keep it simple. Solve your audience’s problems. Share your knowledge.
