A to Z Challenge: A is for… Audience

The Visibility Planner is all about raising your profile and visibility through the things you do focusing on 4 main areas: PR and Marketing (inc Social Media), Networking, Presenting and Writing. For the 2020 A to Z Challenge we decided to focus on one of these aspects – writing! As the world continues to go into lock-down due to Covid-19, it is the perfect time to work on raising your visibility through your writing as you can do it from the comfort of your home.

A is for… Audience (Know your Audience!)

Ask yourself: “Who am I writing this for?” Ask yourself this question each and every time to sit do to do a piece of writing!

When writing it is important to know who your audience is and who you are writing a particular piece of content for.

Who is your audience? What is important to them? How will you need to adapt your writing style or content to suit that particular piece of content?

Who do you write for? How does your writing style change depending on your audience? Share in the comments.

    I know my audience, as my blog is a very specialised one: quilting and art textile is the main – not to say the only – subject. Exception for the A to Z Challenge audience, mostly non-quilters! But still I have my regular quilting friends and readers.
