Quick Tip: Send Christmas Cards to your Contacts

With everything that has been happening this year, you might not feel like sending Christmas cards. However, at a time when we are all stuck at home and can’t get out to see each other in person, it can be a great time to send Christmas cards to your colleagues and contacts to show that you are thinking of them and that you wish them a happy Christmas.

I love receiving personalised Christmas cards and therefore one of my standard tools in my “following up tool-box” is to send personal Christmas cards to my list of priority contacts (it would be impossible to send one to all my contacts).

If you haven’t previously considered sending a Christmas card to your contacts – perhaps you might like to give it a go this year and make it a regular thing. It doesn’t necessarily have to be a physical card if this is too difficult or you don’t have an address for them (an electronic Christmas card can still show someone that you are thinking of them).

Sending cards to customers and clients is a great way to show you care and put your name and your company’s name back in their mind / on their radar ready for the new year.  You can also use personal messages in your card and include a personal message of well-wishing and a thank you for their support over the last year.

Before sending the card check you have the correct contact details. This is particularly difficult this year since a lot of people are continuing to work from home. However, if you don’t have someone’s home/personal address most people are still getting mail in the office anyway, it just might take longer to get to them.
