Quick Tip: Make Your SM Profiles Mobile-Friendly

networking tips for LinkedIn

Most of us are using social media on our smart phones and on the go. While most social media platforms are optimised for mobile use, it is always worth making sure that your profiles are mobile friendly and are easy to read when viewing them on a mobile phone.

Go on – try it out.

LinkedIn Profile

In particular, your LinkedIn Profile will only preview a limited amount of characters. So make sure they count. Check what is visible makes sense and gets across the message you want before it gets cut off.

It is also worth knowing that your profile will show the last three pieces of activity. This includes content you shared, commented on, or liked. Under “Recommendations,” the LinkedIn app will also only show your most recent recommendation. Again this is worth bearing in mind.

If you are not sure what your profile looks like in mobile view – make sure you review it to ensure it is all in order.

Twitter Profile

As Twitter profiles are limited by characters any way you should already be familiar with what it says. It should be the same whether you are looking at it on the desktop or on the mobile. In any event, it is still important to check it over visually on your mobile to ensure that it is all in order and any pinned tweet is up to date.
