Create your own City Event Calendar

If you don’t have your own City Event Calendar for your City you might want to create one. You might want to help facilitate the creation of a full City Event Calendar, or alternatively, you might want to focus on creating a calendar focused on Networking Events.

In our industry we have a collaborative city event calendar which all the local industry networking groups and professional associations have access to and can add their events to. This helps to both promote events within the industry as well as reduces calendar clashes.

There are a few different ways to create your own city event calendar:

01. Use an existing event calendar platform:

There are many event calendar platforms available that allow you to create and manage events for your city. Some popular options include Eventbrite, Meetup, and Eventful. These platforms typically allow you to create an event listing, manage registration and ticket sales, and promote your event to a wider audience.

02. Create a calendar on your own website:

If you have a website for your city or organization, you can create an event calendar directly on your site. This can be a good option if you want to have more control over the look and feel of your calendar and how it integrates with your overall website.

03. Use a spreadsheet or document:

If you don’t have a website or don’t want to use an existing event calendar platform, you can create a simple event calendar using a spreadsheet or document. You can list the event details (date, time, location, etc.) and include links to more information or registration forms. You can then share the calendar with others using a link or by embedding it on your website.

Regardless of which method you choose, be sure to include as much detail as possible about each event, including the date, time, location, cost, and any other relevant information. You should also include links to more information or registration forms where applicable. Promote your calendar through social media and other channels to help get the word out about the events you are hosting/supporting.
