Blogging: Write your own blog to demonstrate thought leadership and expertise

A blog can be a great way to demonstrate thought-leadership. If you haven’t already started a blog or website or don’t currently create content – why not add writing more content to your visibility strategy?

Writing your own blog can help you to demonstrate thought-leadership and expertise as well as help you define and refine your niche.

You might host it on your own website. Alternatively, you might consider that writing blog articles for your company website or guest-blogging on industry publications are a better way to spend your time.

Whatever (and wherever) you are writing, remember your blog should be promoting you, your business or your expertise in some way. If not, you might want to re-think your blogging strategy.

When you are thinking about content and potential things to write about think about where they best fit into your content and marketing strategy, for example, is it suitable for a long-form blog post, it is relevant for your niche or a wider audience, is it better on social media?
